The Sustainable Aquaculture Summit (SAS) 2026 served as a platform for Nuplas Solutions to share our company’s contributions as a supporting partner in advancing sustainable seafood production and the blue economy.
At the event held at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Kota Kinabalu, we presented our perspectives on advancing innovation, sustainability, and practical solutions within the marine ecosystem and blue economy space.
The event was also graced by YB Jordan, Assistant Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Sabah State Government, whose presence underscored the importance of collaboration between policymakers, academia, and industry in advancing sustainable aquaculture initiatives.
One of the key discussions highlighted the growing challenge facing the industry: while seafood consumption continues to rise, fisheries stocks have seen significant declines over the years. These realities underscore the importance of sustainable aquaculture, responsible resource management, and innovation in ensuring long-term food security.
The summit brought together government representatives, researchers, industry players, and innovators from across the region, creating a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
A big thank you to Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and Universiti Malaysia Sabah for bringing together such an inspiring mix of voices from across the industry. We appreciate the opportunity to engage with stakeholders and contribute to ongoing conversations around sustainable food systems and marine innovation.
