During an eye-opening journey to Bali and surrounding fishing communities in Banyuwangi, Lamongan, and Makassar, Nuplas Solutions explored the lifecycle of discarded fishing nets. The findings highlighted both the promising aspects—such as the reuse and recycling of multifilament nylon nets—and the urgent challenges, including the harmful burning of nets. This trip reinforces Nuplas Solutions’ mission to collaborate with policymakers, social enterprises, and local communities to drive sustainable waste management solutions and reduce environmental impact.
